
Samples supplied were cores, finished tools were held aside for later analysis.


Sample #2 is a semi-clear Obsidian Ball, from the
same volcanic area. (matching test results)
One investigator has indicated a strong possibility of the Netherlands Antilles, as being
the source.
Only one location in North America has Obsidian Balls; Superior Arizona.
Now under study: 5" Granite Disk,
found in the same area in Sarasota.
A test for phytoliths, in the rock sample, will be done sometime in the near future.
So far, there's been no report, of any Obsidian
ever being found in Florida.
Over 800 pieces have been uncovered thus far.
